Livestock

Truax Farm implements the following practices to keep our herd strong and healthy:

    • Ewes are grazed and lamb on pasture.  This promotes a genetically rugged and resilient flock.
    • Lambs are raised on their mother’s milk until they are naturally ready to wean.
    • Rotational grazing to help protect against parasites.
    • Sheep are not fed grain or corn; they are 100% grass fed and grass finished, impacting the nutritional value of the sheep.

Our sheep are available for breeding stock. Please contact if interested.

Anticipated Lambing:

Our next lambs are due December 2024 and April 2025.

Samuel and Pip, our border collies, help move sheep safely.
