Truax Farm implements the following practices to keep our herd strong and healthy:

• • Ewes are grazed and lamb on pasture.  This promotes a genetically rugged and resilient flock. 
  • Lambs are raised on their mother’s milk until they are naturally ready to wean.
  • Rotational grazing to help protect against parasites. 
  • Sheep are not fed grain or corn; they are 100% grass fed and grass finished, impacting the nutritional value of the sheep.
